PROSPECT'S BATCHA THRIVES
THANKS TO OFF SEASON WORK
While most high school kids were out enjoying their summer at the beach or on vacation last summer, Prospect junior Nick Batcha was working. It wasn't at a job where he could earn money, but a speed camp - and clearly his decision is already paying dividends. At the Bartlett Flyin' Hawk Invite at Streamwood on Saturday, the speed and technique that Batcha gained at the Tommy Z Pure Speed Clinic was on display for everyone to see. "I worked on my speed and technique at the speed camp this summer and it has helped me out a lot," Batcha said. "My races just feel more natural now."

I was always one of the smaller and slower guys on my football team. I like football a lot and wanted to play football in high school. I began working-out at Tommy Z’s Pure Speed Sports Clinic in March 2009. They have made me much faster and quicker. I caught the most passes on my high school football team this past season. I am now lifting weights under Jason’s program. I can now lift more weight than a lot of my teammates. My freshman year football coach recently commented on how much bigger I look. It’s fun to work-out with a former MAC athlete. Jason, and the rest of the coach’s, are GREAT!
--Mike Toussaint, Hersey High School Football Team
My son, Michael, a sophomore in high school, began training with Jason a little over two years ago on his agility and speed. Just after the first 5 months, Michael went from being an offensive lineman on his Pee Wee football team, to the starting wide receiver on the freshman high school team. He led his team in receptions last season. During the past year Michael has also been lifting weights under the guidance of Jason. After 3 months of a specific weight training program made just for him, Michael gained 13 pounds and had the second highest squat amongst his football teammates, even though he only weighted 140 pounds. The coaches at Tommy Z’s Pure Speed Sports Clinic works well with all ages and levels of grade school and high school athletes because they make working out fun and are very patient. The coaches know how to help young athletes get more agile and stronger without compromising his or her health. If not for their help, my son would not be participating, and succeeding, in high school athletics.

My experience with Jason at Tommy Z’s Pure Speed Sports Clinic has been great the past three years. When I started working with Jason in the summer of 2008, I was not as strong as I needed to be and I needed to improve my strength in order to excel in Swimming. Jason helped me with that the first day. His program the past three years has been a great investment for me over the summers. This program really helped me strengthen my entire body as a whole and was one of the main reasons why I have improved so much with my swimming at the college level. Jason and Sarah did a great job by making sure that the workouts were focusing on the right muscles that I needed for swimming and made sure that it would beneficial for me to do the program. They also trained me work on my vertical jump which has really helped me in pushing off the walls. The Pure Speed program is not just weights in the gym but more importantly focused on cross training, like running which has helped my endurance and also helped me get faster in the water. I would recommend this program to all of my teammates because it has really helped me out.” “The coaching staff is great and motivates each of their athletes to do their best with each workout every day. Jason is the kind of strength coach that really helps the athlete succeed because he cares so much about each athlete. His willingness to design each workout separately for each athlete really shows how much he cares about each individual person and that is something that I really enjoyed in having Jason as my strength coach. Overall, the coaching staff at Tommy Z’s Pure Speed Sports Clinic is one that I would recommend to any athlete and I look forward to working with him again.

I would like to commend Tommy Z’s Staff and their teaching abilities in making my son understand what he is doing and why it is done. For some kids, especially mine, understanding the process all the way through is essential in getting the most out of the experience….and they did just that. Overall, Tommy Z’s Pure Speed is a great addition to my son’s progress as an athlete. I hope to be using PureSpeed in the very near future.

Our experience with Tommy Z's PureSpeed Sports Clinic has exceeded my expectations. Both Matt and Jack have shown visible improvement both in speed and form. More importantly from a parents perspective they look forward to their training sessions. I approached this thinking "baseball" as that's their primary sport. What I didn't anticipate is how much this has helped Matt in basketball. We'll certainly build additional sessions into our off season training and view Tommy Z's as a training partner. Thanks for your help and approach with my boys. You've certainly connected with them.

Great camp, I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
